OUR
STORY

LIFE BEFORE TRIIDO
Our story begins in January 2018 when Tiddo joins TransferWise in Estonia, where Triinu was already working. Our memories of this time are a bit fuzzy. Tiddo remembers Triinu laughing a lot when they first met, Triinu can't remember anything...
Over the next couple of years we've been working together in the same team, and developed a good amount of respect and appreciation for each other professionally. But we also got to know each other's personal side, through the many fun events and trips we did with the team.

OUR FIRST DATE
Our first unofficial "date" was supposed to be a motorbike ride in South-Estonia, but Tiddo crashed the bike on his way to Triinu. So instead, we now had a trip to the hospital and to the repair shop. After that though, we still had just about enough time for a romantic evening swim in Meenikunno bog, and from that moment on we were inseparable.

ENGAGEMENT
We had already decided on day 2 to spend the rest of our lives together, but it still took a staggering 3.5 months before we got engaged.
Neither of us is very good at this engagement thing though, with Tiddo rushing a poorly-planned proposal in Triinu's small room in London eagerly dropping on one knee in the historic city of London, and Triinu losing the ring in Chile sacrificing the ring to the Patagonian mountain gods a year later.
But, this is all just symbolism. What really counts is that our love is only getting stronger, and that we're happily exploring the world and building our future together!
AND NOW... WE ARE GETTING MARRIED

GIFTS & FLOWERS
Most important is that you're there to celebrate the day with us. We know that it can already be costly to get there, so don't feel obligated to bring anything!
If you do wish to bring something, an envelope or any simple meaningful gift is much appreciated.
If you decide to bring flowers, if would be best to take pastel colors. We will put them at good use at the party place.
Don't Miss It!
FAQ
How to get to Leigo?
It's easiest to get there by car, there's not much public transportation to the place.
If you do come (mostly) by public transport, the closest town is Tartu, from where it's about a 30 minute car ride to Leigo. To Tartu you can easily get by bus, tickets can be bought on tpilet.ee.
If you don't have a car, please try to pair up with others. You can also mark it in the RSVP form, and we can help to find transportation.
Is there a dresscode?
Noup, wear whatever you feel comfortable in during a nordic summer party. If you're unsure: as long as you're not coming in running clothes or in a tuxedo you'll be fine ;)
The party place has thin glass walls around it but it will feel very outdoorsy. Even if it's technically summer, be prepared also for the possible chillier weather or rain and take something warm to put on for the evening.
And as a word of caution, there's grass all around, so high heels can get uncomfortable.
Are there any dangerous animals?
Unfortunaly, yes, we expect the Great Estonian Mosquitos1 to join the party. We'll provide mosquito repellent during the evening but you might still want to have some with you. Lakes, forests and early summer is their favourite snack set-up.
And don't be like Tiddo, who thought he could handle a few mosquitos on his first Estonian summer night, and then came back with hundreds of mosquito bites 😳.
1. Don't worry, they're not actually dangerous, just annoying and itchy
What's the accommodation like?
There's place for everyone to stay over for the night. There's a couple of houses with small simple rooms (2-4 people) and everything is provided by Leigo Talu, so no need to carry any sleeping gear with you.
We'll make the room plans ahead of time, so when you get there you'll have a room waiting for you.
When is the checkout?
We need to check out on Sunday by 12:00. There'll be breakfast provided in the morning, and if we wake up early enough there might still be time for some fun - chatting, (maybe) swimming, some games or even a short walk around the lake.
We might move to another place nearby for whoever wants to stick around for a chill afternoon together.Ps. We'll keep updating the page when we have more information.
